Silent Goodbyes

I know that I will never get you back. I just don’t want to be ok with it.

You showed me a world that tasted like

Ice cream and wine

Chocolate at midnight

A melody in spring

And tea when it’s raining.

This new world has no place for us.

No tiny, white cups.

No silver spoons.

No golden wrapping paper.

No breath to sing.

No tears to cry.

You showed me a world, and left me without one.

All I dream about

Is ripping off

This useless skin

To prove

That you were real

And now are missed.

“Silent Goodbyes”, I whisper.

“Deserve to be said”, my witch cheers with our bottle of wine.
