The guilt of the witch

What was the witch actually guilty of?

This question may arise eventually. After the body was buried, mutilated and still burned in the end to make sure, the one or the other will possibly have experienced the question persisting.
And while guilt is waiting at every corner in Dystopia, a response to this question may lead to so many new ones and open up endless spheres – So, let‘s thank our bodies for being so fragile! For the fragility, the vulnerability and the weakness it holds provides a response to pick up so easily! As easy as blinking, if you still can!

How come?

Imagine there was someone to blame it all on.
Tooth ache?
That one mole that suddenly grows out of proportion?
This nagging feeling in the middle of the night that something is wrong?
That takes your breath away?

Does this mean you were simply reckless? That you made plans thinking you had more time than you‘re actually granted? Did you postpone the agonizingly painful doctor‘s visit to turn into a tragedy told for years?

Possibly.
But imagine, there was this other kind of being.
A being that broke all the rules of this world and can be held responsible for its tragedy.
A body so corrupted, it impersonates the guilt you all cannot bear.

Will your body stop aching?
Stop decaying, and last?

Does it even matter, as long as the witch carries the guilt?
