Since I have hit the 30 000 words for the witching novel two nights ago, I feel the need to review my writing and think about what I wanted to do with it in the near futre.
I started my blog as a Dystopia diary in the depth of lockdown in 2020, rediscovered my love for telling stories and playing around with words in those darkest, surreal nights and committed myself to the goal of writing this novel! Those are my most darkest and also my most precious memories by now, but they definitely are memories. I do not write a Dystopia diary anymore. Also, the novel is growing page by page at the moment, which is wonderful, but still leaves with certain kinds of fears.
In this post, I want to collect my writing goals for the future!
With or without Dystopia.
With an unfinished or even finished witching novel.
I have come up with a weekly blogging plan!
Yes, I really needed one. With all the freelancing work I do and all the other noise the world offers to interrupt my thoughts, I had to work out such a plan to keep myself writing and, most importantly, writing the right kind of thing. I hate 5 or even 6 day breaks between blog posts! That is a nightmare! And as long as I keep doing everything out of a gut feeling, they tend to keep coming.
Therefor, here are my goals I will try to reach each week!
Monday: History glimpse!

I come across so many curious things for the sake of the witching novel! From tragic monuments to haunted castles or witching hats – I am glimpsing into a world of the past and I want to share every detail of this experiende with my readers. The late medieval / early modern world is a terrifying one dealing with extremes while going through a transformation. On Monday, I will prepare a little glimpse of that each week!
I have already written about a witching monument, and the cities of Aachen and Monschau, if you want to take a look!
Wednesday: A poetry date!
I wrote my best poetry when sitting alone at a coffee place in a light summer dress and crying my heart out to no one. I don‘t want to cry every Wednesday again, but I do want to keep my ritual to go on a pretty little date with myself and let my soul leak. Wednesday will be poetry day!

Thursday: Looking at the world with my witch!

Since I summoned my witch to survive Dystopia, I had to understand the gloomy metaphysical reality fo her existence as well as discuss the weird state of my own world with her! So, for Thursday, I will prepare a post about either of these things. A cynical, informative witching tale, or a discussion of something I have to vent about. I may not write a Dystopia diary anymore, but I do still have my issues with being alive in general!
Friday: Video-Friday
When I write a novel, the process is paved with a lot more than just writing. I photograph sceneries, I write poetry and music! I talk to myself when I write. I just have to feel it as a whole. Every Friday, I will upload a little video of something related to my social media pages. You can find these things on Facebook, Instagram, and X-former Twitter so far!
For the weekend, I plan to promote my weekly work a little bit, and collect thoughts regarding the writing process!
This is what I will be trying to do weekly from now on!
I want to offer a window into the past and lure visitors to my blog for little-known facts or simply impressions of the period I am writing in. I also want to explode into poetry more often and keep the witching view on while looking at the world.
Lately, with me not writing a Dystopia diary anymore and with the witching novel actually growing, I was worried about what to do with my blog. When I had all of these ideas all those years ago, committing to them and dreaming away with them felt wonderful! By now, I wonder how tough it will be to find a publishing way for the witching novel and how far I will ever get in fullfilling all these dreams. One thing I noticed was that my other content had to grow in some way. I had to take a next step.
This weekly plan for the content of my witching history blog is the next step.
I can‘t wait to lure you away again into a witching view on the world!
Also, I learned a bit about how to promote a project more professional than strictly out of a gut feeling when I joined a podcast! You can hear me discuss my favourite sci fi show „Babylon 5“ on now! We are the Third Age podcast and we are on youtube, or wherever you find podcasts. My witch giggles in the back of my head, of course!
