Magical recharging

I wish I could write about a new and haunted place I visited. I even had one on my list for this week, but things got in between and in the end, I needed some magical recharging. There is one place that always works for me – so here are my latest impressions from Aachen! I have already written a blog post about this magical town, remember?

Originally, I had planned to visit another city called Paderborn, which would have let me on a haunted journey exploring an unique case of exorcism, but not this week. I just needed a beautiful cathedral, small cafes in old and pretty houses, and the feeling of fairy tales just around the corner.

Things got a lot lately.
I will be going to a first in person meeting for a theater project I was accepted into through my blog. I cannot tell you now nervous I am! On Monday, I will take a train to Paris and stay there for a week (yes, I only live three hours away and have so far never been there), while hopefully also writing on a term paper I will have to finish in four weeks. The pandemic left its traces – I am writing about patenting Covid-Vaccines, while aspiring to be a science historian. Wish me luck. I am behind with a lot of freelance work, writing my bills, and owe a few vocal recordings to a friend.

As I said, things got a lot. At least I can take a trip to Aachen, buy a few books, and dream of fairy tales.

Do you have a place like that?
