They have the most vivid dreams, that infect the world while spreading out of their eyes and into the air and through another pair of eyes into somebody to inflame their soul.
Just as the Basilisk kills through poisoning the air, the witch infects the soul with desires strong enough to transform.
Burning the witch alive is the only way to purge the soul, the air, the world from all those dreams that were spreading. And do not forget to never look into their eyes, of neither the Basilisk nor the witch, or the flames may take you, just as a house having become home for the plague.
