Of all the things that never were

Hope for worlds to collide,

crash into each other,

and merge and change,

take little things from each other,

and become something new.

But there was only a moment,

in which two worlds gently touched.

A second for a soft and tickling heartbeat to promise something.

Something to never happen,

but still leave a scar,

hidden inside to break out of skin,

and be seen.

The sweet and promising passing of two worlds,

burning thoughts into dreams of all the things that never were,

but deserved to be,

were hungered to be felt and seen,

inflicted wounds,

unreal and even deeper.

We never collided,

we never crashed into each other,

we never merged and changed.

We only ever gently passed each other,

just so to cause a transformation.

  1. Hi Mistress Witch sorry to bother you on here! I couldn’t see any other way to contact you. You and I have been following each other for some time but I’ve just realised you are following the site I don’t use (which I’m about to delete!) My up-to-date site is https://staring-at-the-sea.com/ – I would really appreciate if you could follow there. So important to keep connected with other writers. Happy blogging and all the best, Lizz
