Witching novel milestone!

I took a first step to finishing the witching novel!

No, I am not done yet. I still have a very long way to go finishing this work in progress, but for the first time I have handed out a part of the manuscript to my friends. The first 12 000 words are out there!

This means a lot to me.

For one thing, the fact that I finished this first part, because I struggled with the beginning. How to tell her whole Biography without too much time lapse? And, what exactly did I have to construct to later build the witching stigma around it?
Writing that made me sweat.

But also, I love the fact that I printed it and handed it to friends. Or, also tell the world about it here.
For a long time, I only wrote in secret. At 19-20, I was stressed out by my theater life and scared of failure, so that I decided to only do my art in privacy.

Being brave enough to wish to be read means a lot to me. It means that I am getting closer to being ok with myself. I even printed out a piece of music I composed for a kids orchestra I work with to play. Something, I never thought I’d do!

So, even when being bedridden with a fever for the past week, I edited these 12 000 words to reach this milestone.
Also, writing this witching stuff in a house where everyone coughs like crazy and no one speaks or moves has its charm!
We are all better now, btw…
