Tale about a daring love

“I dare you”, a witch once whispered

When I met you
I carried
A coffee in my hand
And words on my lips
Only you could make sense of.
If only you’d known,
If you had known sooner.

When we met,
We both felt
Horrors in our chest
Only we understood.
If only we’d known,
If he we had known sooner.

For when we met
I became your witch
And you my demon
Watching the rain
With a coffee in hand
We didn’t know it
We couldn’t have known it yet.

Before we could know
Dystopia hit
Poured out the coffee
Drowned rain in a flood
And ripped the horrors
The secrets
Out of us.
Suddenly we knew,
We know it now.

Once I knew
I dreamed of kisses,
For you
And your horror,
We cannot escape.
If only you were close,
Come closer to me!

I am your witch,
And you are my demon.
And demons are lonely,
Unable to touch,
Forced to observe,
And be saved by their witch.

I am your witch,
and you are my demon.
I need your guidance,
to deal with the horrors,
the horrors we share,
only we ever share!

Are we able
To be the witch
And the demon?
Do you dare to find out?
